Art Work Statement: 

The understanding of my positionality within being undocumented has been guided by the conjoining flows and environments of where I've been raised and the lasting impacts of where I was born. Where salt and fresh water meet, a unique life is born; I hope my experiences can foster the growth of others in their environments and passions. Within spiraling time, symbols and autonomous nature care for those of their blood beyond colonization. As long as Metzli, the Nahuatl moon deity, stays within our shared skies, it shares its protection for those who labor, sacrifice, and love. Fluorescence is an act of decay within color, as I hope struggle and paint decay within its sharing and expression, I hope that with returning to a neutral state of existence will bring comfort to those it shares its electrons with.
